Booking Directo or Booking.com
The room is the same. What changes is the path: where your money goes, who keeps your data and who you talk to when plans shift.
Booking platforms did something valuable: they put every lodging in the world on a single screen. The lodging pays for that, with a commission on every night, and so do you, in a relationship that’s no longer with the people hosting you but with a middleman.
Booking Directo keeps the good part, searching everything on a map, and takes out the middleman. When you choose, we take you to the lodging’s website and step aside.

What we have to admit
A platform has millions of lodgings; we have 696, in Patagonia. A platform has reviews from millions of guests; for now, we show you what we measure on each website. A platform lets you pay with your saved card; on Booking Directo you pay on each lodging’s website, with the system they use.
In exchange, every lodging you see here has passed a check: its own website, a secure connection, speed on a phone and a small screen. 611 of 696 meet all four and carry the Verified website seal. And none of them pays to be here.
Questions
Is Booking Directo part of Booking.com?
No. Booking Directo is an independent search site, made in El Chaltén, Argentina. It’s called that because it does the opposite of a platform: it sends you to book direct on the lodging’s website.
Is it cheaper to book direct?
Often, yes, and it’s never more expensive because of us: we add nothing to the price. The lodging saves the commission and often gives some of it back as a better price, breakfast or more flexibility.
What if the place I’m looking for isn’t listed?
We only show lodgings with their own website that works well. If one isn’t listed, it’s because it doesn’t yet have a website where you can book, or because its website is slow or insecure. We write to all of them so they can fix it.
Why is Europe regulating the platforms?
Because they hold too much power over lodgings. France banned price parity clauses with the Macron Law; the European Union placed Booking under the Digital Markets Act in 2024; Spain fined it 413 million euros for abusing its dominant position.
